This one day course is aimed at experienced forklift operators and is mandatory for any persons operating a forklift Australia-wide. Prior to undertaking the course, ALL participants must download the attached Forklift Manual and read the pre-course information listed at the bottom of this page.

Course Requirements: All participants:

Must be at least 18 years of age

Are required to familiarise themselves with the theory questions and answers contained in the downloadable Forklift Manual

Must have a good command of both written and verbal aspects of the English language

Must bring PHOTO ID with them on the day of the course

Must wear closed shoes on the day (i.e. no thongs or sandals)
Who should do this course: Individuals with previous forklift driving experience (in Australia or overseas) who do not hold a Nationally Recognised LF Class Forklift Licence. Previous forklift experience should mean that you are confident in loading and unloading a truck trailer, retrieving pallets from heights and driving through an obstacle course. People without the necessary experience will need to complete a two day beginners course.
Course Content: Both theory and practical assessment. As this course is aimed at experienced drivers, you should note that there will be no “training” provided. The areas covered include:

- Forklift awareness
- Lifting pallets
- Lifting up to 1000kg
- Stacking racks
- Obstacle course
- Pre-starting safety checks

Assessment: You are required to complete a theory and practical assessment as part of this course.
Outcome: On successful completion, participants receive a Statement of Attainment in “Operate a Forklift TDTD1097B” as part of Certificate II in Transport and Distribution TDT20102. Certificates are issued same day!
