Ideal for people working in the mining, resources or construction industries, this course covers all theory aspects of working safely at heights.  Upon completion of the theory component of the course, participants can elect to complete a log book under suitable supervision in their workplace to attain a higher qualification (if required by their employer).

Course Content:
  • Principles and issues of working at heights
  • The requirements of AS/NZ 1891
  • Hazard identification, risk assessment and control when working at heights
  • Required documentation, equipment and systems for working at height
  • Demonstrated ability in inspection, use and maintenance of equipment
  • Duties and roles of persons when working at height; and
  • Requirements for emergency response and rescue plans when working at height.
Assessment: At the end of the course you are required to successfully complete a written assessment.
 
Outcome: Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be issued with a certificate as partial completion of MNMG237A (Working Safely at Heights).
