Apply Traffic Control Plans

This one day course provides training for staff who are required to set up and work with Traffic Control Plans, issued by supervisors and line managers.
 
Note: This course does not qualify participants to select or modify existing traffic control plans or to control traffic with a Stop/Slow bat.

Pre-Requisites:
  • Students must meet adequate literacy requirements
  • Students must hold a valid OH&S Construction Induction card (NSW, QLD, VIC, SA accepted)
Who should complete this course:
  • Field Staff
Course Content: This course covers both theory and practical aspects of Traffic Control Plans, including
  • Identify safety implications of traffic control at road works
  • Set up/close down traffic control devices 
  • Operate a 2-way radio 
  • Check, clean and store equipment on completion
Assessment: Assessment is throughout the course.
 
Outcome: On successful completion, participants receive a Statement of Completion in “Apply Traffic Control Plans” otherwise known as a Yellow Card. An RTA Traffic Control Apply Traffic Plans card will also be issued.
