SYDNEY CITY, BROOKVALE & PARRAMATTA – NSW
This course allows the first aider to update their knowledge and skills gained (within the previous 3 years) and revise first aid procedures. Participants will be updated on changes since their previous First Aid Course.
This course covers both theory and practical aspects of first aid including:
- Legal aspects
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- The unconscious casualty
- Wounds and bleeding
- Shock
- Head, neck and spinal injuries
- Fractures and dislocations
- Burns and scalds
- Chest and abdominal injuries
- Miscellaneous medical conditions including asthma, anaphylaxis diabetes, epilepsy and febrile convulsions
- Poisons, bites and stings
On successful completion of this course, participants receive a VETAB approved HLTFA301B Apply First Aid Statement of Attainment incorporating HLTCPR201A Perform CPR.
Students may purchase a handy First Aid Emergency Handbook for an additional $35.
Course Duration 8 hours.
Course Prerequisite
- Adequate literacy skills.
- Original current First Aid Certificate
- Pen / Pencil
NOTE: You will not be admitted if you do not have your current First Aid Certificate and a 50% reschedule fee will apply.
