This one day course is a simple and effective
method of training all staff who are required
to use a stop/slow bat.
To work as a Traffic Controller in NSW it is a
Roads & Traffic Authority (RTA) requirement that everyone
holds a current Traffic Controllers Blue Card. This
is renewable every three years.
Held in our
Parramatta Training Centre this course meets the work
activity requirements of the NSW Occupational Health &
Safety Legislation and RTA obligations. It also follows the National Competencies of the
Building & Construction ITAB.
Upon successful completion of the course participants
receive a Statement of Completion of Training for OH&S
Induction and Training in “Traffic Control Using Stop/ Slow
Bat”. An RTA Traffic Control Stop / Slow Bat Card (Blue
Card) will also be issued by the RTA within a few weeks of
completing the course.

Course Prerequisite
Students must show a valid OH&S
Construction Induction Green Card
or Certificate plus a Drivers Licence (NSW Minimum
Provisional 2 - Green P) on the day of the course.
As of 1st November 2006 all newly qualified Traffic
Controllers in NSW are required to hold or have held a
minimum of a NSW Provisional "P2" (Green P) Drivers Licence.
Interstate or non-Australian Drivers Licences are acceptable
if they clearly show that the driver has been eligible to
drive on their own for at least 12-months.
If you fail to show a valid Green Card
/ Certificate or your Drivers Licence you will not be admitted to the course and a
fee of 50% of the course fee will apply to rebook for
another day.

ID Requirements
WorkCover NSW & the NSW RTA requires 2-3 forms of ID to be
admitted to this courses.
Examples include:
1: NSW RTA Licence + Medicare Card
2: Passport + ATM Card
3: NSW Photo Card + Full Birth Certificate
4: Full Birth Certificate + Medicare + ATM Card
If you have insufficient ID
on the day you will not be admitted
and a fee of 50% of the course fee will apply to
rebook for another day.
