Mental Health Online Course
The Standard Mental Health online course will teach you how to provide initial support to other adults who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence based Action Plan.
This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.

- Suicidal thoughts and behaviours
- Non-suicidal self-injury
- Panic attacks
- Traumatic events
- Severe psychotic states
- Severe effects from alcohol or other drug use

Note: This course is not a therapy or a support group
This Mental Health online course combines plain English, videos, photos, and questioning to ensure all learners are able to have the best possible chance at comprehending the required knowledge and skills. Any adult can attend.
This program is offered online through our learning management system.
Students should allow up to sixty minutes for the online learning to be completed. If you have completed CPR training in the past, you may be able to complete the online program in a shorter time frame.
Students will be assessed through the use of online course activities and tests. Assessment will confirm knowledge has been achieved to help identify and respond to those with mental health issues.
If you pass the assessment, you will be issued a certificate of completion in Mental health awareness.
