Due to the high number of anaphylaxis incidents and sufferers in Australia, specialised Anaphylaxis training has been developed for the early childhood education industry. While anaphylaxis training is relevant to all industries, the new legislation for childcare industry specifies that a staff member with anaphylaxis specific training be onsite at all times, including asthma and First Aid training.
This Anaphylaxis training course covers risk management of anaphylaxis, including training for prevention, management, treatment and intervention.
This unit applies to work in a wide range of settings where emergencies involving asthma attacks may occur, such as:
- Early education centres
- Sports clubs and groups
- Aged care workers
If organising a onsite training, we can facilitate the Anaphylaxis training nationally.
It is important to note that this Anaphylaxis training course requires a level of physical ability to complete practical assessments. If your health or fitness restricts you from performing physical activities associated with this program, you will be able to participate but may not be eligible for a nationally accredited certificate.
