White Card Course

White Card Course

Do you see yourself working in the trade; construction, surveying, or even archaeology? Are you on a working holiday visa and looking at a lucrative job as a day labourer? The NSW White Card provides access to these exciting career opportunities in just a single-day course!

The White Card course is overseen by expert trainers who excel in hands-on theoretical and practical learning. You can expect to learn about construction hazards, personal protective equipment (PPE), and risk management in an interactive classroom environment.

The program consists of three components:

  • Classroom-based theoretical training
  • Classroom-based practical training
  • Evaluation of both knowledge and skills

The NSW White Card course prerequisites are:

  • At least 14 years of age
  • Basic grasp of English
  • A USI number
  • Sufficient ID (100 points)

But why is a White Card qualification necessary? The Australian government emphasises awareness of Work Health and Safety (WHS) for all employees of construction and similar sectors. By achieving competency in our White Card course, you have successfully demonstrated knowledge of risks and hazards required to keep yourself and your coworkers safe.

Upon completion, you will receive a Statement of Training (SOT) which allows you to immediately commence construction-related work. You will receive your physical White Card from SafeWork NSW within 60 days – but in the meantime, make the most of the opportunities in your newfound career!
